We have noted how many people hand their mobile over to their kids to entertain them.

Works great if you are in the car or waiting around, pretty much the same as entertaining yourself except that your kids will let you know when they are bored.

There isn’t a great selected of kids content out there but we have kicked it off with Sesame Street which can be view in the Kids Channel.

If you have a Windows, Apple or Linux based media center and you are looking for a great way to just watch all the great podcast content on the Internet just the same way you watch TV then we have something coming that will be of interest.

The PocketVidz TV service will let you surf all the content in the PocketVidz library using your remote control and watching on your TV set.

The nice guys over at the iPhone Blog have written up what I think is a good review of the PocketVidz service. We are always open to some criticism and think we shaped up pretty well given that the service is in perpetual beta like many sites.

One thing we will point out though is that they did review the mobile version of the site when there is a new iPhone video version in development that is looking pretty good with the IUI interface.

We have now added Windows Media formatted videos. These are currently only delivering to certain Windows Mobile phones.

Like the iPhone this is also not a great platform for streaming however downloads work fine.

Unfortunately the iPhone Safari/Quicktime browser doesn’t fully stream video but it does a reasonable job of progressicve download.
